Wearing a BETA Standard Body Protector will help reduce the risk of serious injury. This is not just confined to competition work, but also applies when schooling young horses, routine training and hacking.
Shamalay currently offers the Flexi Motion Panel Body Protector from USG, which conforms to BETA Level 3 and European standards EN13158-2009 Level 3. This labelling is not a guarantee of safety. By certification and classification of the product, BETA does not guarantee that body/back/shoulder protectors will prevent serious injury.
It is very important that – just like a riding hat – that your protector fits correctly. It is strongly advisable to have a suitably qualified person check the fit of the protector.[/read]
